Fritz Gnad and his team have done the graphics and animations for The Paradise Papers Leak.

The documentary film of the research network NDR, WDR and Süddeutsche Zeitung with the title Paradise Papers: Zocker, Trickser, Milliardäre was broadcast on November 5th 2017 on Das Erste.

The on-air design is based on the idea to visualize the journalistic work with the documents from the leak: Document fragments, photocopied documents, stamps, annotations, sketched key points and other elements of the textual work with the leaked documents form illustrative collages and run through the various animations and graphic elements.

The whole is accentuated by a single colour: The highlighter neon yellow. This colour runs as a "yellow thread" through the often black-and-white, but partly also desaturated coloured photo, video, cards and text documents. This graphic treatment reflects the content of the journalistic work in an aestheticized way.

As with the Panama Papers, this project was coordinated by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists.
