The idea for the short film "Nogard" was born in 2016 with the aim to create a film that would show my then self-taught skills in the field of visual effects and animation.
Almost every scene in the film was edited with visual effects. I also tried to make the whole film as cinematic as possible with specific lighting, camera work, composition and color grading.
The film was shot in winter 2016 at Lake Oeschinen in Switzerland. The material had to be brought on site on a sledge through the deep snow.
The post-processing of the material with visual effects and animations took place over a period of two years.
