The night sky is full of science AND art. It's already proven when taking normal time-lapses of it. When applying a special kaleidoscope effect, you reveal the true nature of it.
This unusual short film is a testament to the incredible geometry and shear beauty of objects in the night sky. When Fibonacci and Da Vinci meet impressionists and minimalists, this is the product they would probably come up with!
I curated some special sequences in my library, which I thought would fit well and show something particular about the sky. While some deep-sky timelapses and milky-way sequences always refer to mathematics with the golden ratio/number, auroras offer incredible snow flake structures, which are also pulsating at the same time. When producing the effect on auroras, I was almost thinking of sending a draft to Disney Pictures to be used for a potential new Frozen 3 movie!
Some of these sequences absolutely blew my mind, as they not only are somehow trippy but also absolutely spell-binding. They really had me revisit a lot of my archives to try and apply the effect. Not all of them would go well though, and I mostly love either close-up shots (actual ice crystals) or all-sky views.
I really hope you can evade from all the negativity of the world by watching this fascinating movie, and the good news is, you don't even need any enhancer �
