Logline: Young adult writes an essay on stress while dealing with her own inner stress getting worse and worse as time progresses.

Synopsis:
‘Nervous Tension’ is an experimental film, about a young adult’s inner terminal with stress, while writing an essay on inner stress. The film juxtaposes her outside persona with her inner persona, jumping back and forward between the two. It begins with the young adult sitting at her desk writing, with a close-up of her face. It then cuts to a similar position of her but with nervous facial expression. Cutting between the two before cutting to scenes of her fallings on her back, to the side, pushing up from a chair and rolling on the floor. As the film progresses the dance movements get frantic and the cutting between her outer and inner persona gets quicker. My experimental film ends with her inner stress through a pile of papers in the air and her outer persona typing the title of her essay.

The camera movements through the whole inner parts copy her movement exactly, for instance, if she were to fall back the camera would fall with her, creating a first-person view while being in a third-person view.

The soundtrack reflects the visuals by having the outer stress sound be Atmos with a typing effect and the inner stress having a mixture of sound with scraping and bangs to symbolize chaos, escape and fear.
