The Moving Body - Moving Image Festival (movement.barnard.edu/moving-body-moving-image) gives voice to social and social justice themes in the hybrid form of dance filmmaking, also called ScreenDance. The Festival was founded in 2018 by Gabri Christa, who is also the curator. The second edition of the Festival will focus on the representation of Aging & Othering on screen. The Festival will take place April 4, 2020 (12-6pm) at Barnard College, Altschul Hall / Atrium and will include film screenings, installations, panel and guest speakers. Featured speakers include Deborah Jowitt, Susanna Sloat, Anna Sang Park, Sheila Rohan, and Karen Williams.
