Play, download and edit the free video Mountain Village 3D environment/ matte painting.

For this scene, I created the terrains in Houdini and textured them in Mari. Then I added the buildings from the Kitbash 3D Fairy Tale kit. Final layout, lighting, tree scattering, and fog were created in Clarisse. Then the first and last frame were rendered for a paintover. The whole image was re-projected in Nuke for the final camera animation and compositing.
