WOW! I had an incredible amount of fun with my final animation assignment for my first term at Animation Mentor. For this personality walk. I took inspiration from the idea of a big stomping monster, acted it out (yes my personal reference looks ridiculous) and used it to make the timing and spacing of this shot work.
I learned so much these past 3 months about the importance of the 12 animation principles and how they apply to more complex shots. With this monster walk I challenged myself by trying to convey a feeling of weight, which is pretty hard to do in computer animation. I spend some time on the impact of the feet (glad my mentor loved it). Proud of what I learned and determined to learn much more in the body mechanics term.
