در سال ۲۰۱۸ کریستین استوارت در مراسم افتتاحیهٔ فرش قرمز جشنواره کن در راستای اعتراض به پروتکل پوشش زنان! کفشهای پاشنه بلندش را از پا درآورد و به دنبال او زنهای دیگر پابرهنه و یا با کفشهای با کف تخت(بدون پاشنه) بر خلاف موازین پوشش در جشنواره حضور یافتند! این حرکت دستمایهٔ فیلم کوتاه «آینهها به هوش میآیند» شده است که در آن فضای مسلط هالیودیسم و دیزنیفیکشن حاکم بر روزمرههای یک زن به چالش کشیده میشود! در فیلم این هجمهها با بروز یک اتفاق از دور خارج میشوند و قدمهای اول به دور از این سلطهها برداشته میشود.
In 2018, Kristen Stewart took off her high heel shoes in the Cannes red carpet ceremony to protest the “Heels only” policy, and other women followed suit by walking barefoot or in flats despite the festival rules. The movement inspired the film “Mirrors Wake From Hibernation” in which the dominance of Hollywoodism and Disney fiction over a woman’s daily life are challenged. In the film, all such pressures are driven away, and the first steps are taken without their domination.
