This is the breakdown to my reel.
:04-42 seconds Belle's bedroom. This was a concept for a personal project about a theme of a person's bedroom. I wanted to make this concept match to a character from a full length animated feature. I chose to create Belle from Disney's Beauty and the Beast. While it is not big and grand like her actual bed chamber from the film, I wanted it to look more like an actual room dimension of a typical bedroom. I drew out the concept design and used references from the Beauty and the Beast films, along with Kingdom Hearts 2.

0:43-0:47 Home for the holidays. This was a night lighting environment I did over the month of December. I've always wanted to created a festive environment that involved Christmas Lights. As a kid I loved the holiday season when my family would decorate the house. The house in this environment was actually the same design of my childhood home I lived in for 13 years. The house meant a lot me because of the wonderful memories I shared living there.

0:48-0:52 Sorcerer's Tower. This was an environment practice on architecture and fantasy themes. It connects to a fantasy world I imagined as child. While it is the home to the powerful Sorcerer to the world of Marverse Town, I wanted to show that this location was a place of magic. Not only for the witch and wizard hats, but to the staircase of spell books. When making this model I wanted to avoid making warped building designs like what they did for Kingdom Hearts' Yen Sid Tower. But it give it a regal look that European architecture makes.

:53-1:02 The Crystal Cavern. This was another concept taken from my fantasy world Marverse Town. This cavern was inside cave called the Cave of Destiny. The story is the person who enters is judged by their choices through trials. If you were deemed good you would pass with a magical treasure, but if you were deemed greedy and dark, you would be imprisoned in the Crystal Cavern guarded by the Crystal Owl.

1:03-1:12 Ariel's Grotto. This was inspired by Disney's the Little Mermaid. As a child I loved the sequence of Part of Your World Ariel sings to Flounder about her passion for the human world. I made this model to practice not only shadow coloring but also modeling. Like Ariel I collect the models I modeled and placed them throughout the grotto. While Ariel had a famous painting of Mary Magdalene I wanted to draw my own personal art instead.
