Jamaal Burkmar & Azizi Cole / Music through Movement

This workshops looked at the choreographic and musical practice of Jamaal Burkmar and Azizi Cole. The aim of the workshops was to increase the relationship dancers have to their own personal musicality whilst providing them with skills to aid in their development of this innate relationship between music and dance. Through improvisation, different creation techniques, repertoire and musical tasks, participants were challenged over the course of the whole weekend.
