The Beach on Manasota Key had almost disappeared over time. In some areas, only a tiny strip of sand was left. Fortunately, both counties could agree to a plan of action. Right now, dredgers are pumping millions of cubic yards of sand. Once completed, the area between Middle Beach (Blind Pass Beach) and Englewood beach will have a wide sand beach again.
