Synopsis:
Struggling with insomnia in a monochrome world, the girl is finally swept away by sleep into a fantasy. Her colour-filled dream consists of three parts, each one a physical & emotional manifestation of a painting by Bridget Riley - first “Rajasthan”, second “Two Greens and Blue” & then finally “Red with Red“. She comes across others & enters new landscapes, her curiosity piqued, until, at last, she reawakens. Forever in a cycle of sleepless nights, with only a few moments of respite.
Focusing on movement, shape, (those things one most attributes to Riley), rhythm & colour, Lucid highlights the escapism that dreams allow.
