Six bodies interpret Maurice Ravel's Bolero. They represent the cicle of life through the pure movement of the flesh. From nothingness to everything: you are born, now live; then death: back to the darkness of nothing. A constant loop with multiple variations (just like this musical piece) which shows concepts such as routine, affection, growth, community, nonsense, heaviness, fluidity of time or joy. The individual is born to be part of a society, therefore, being born and dying are constant and collective events. That is why the performance uses the group image and not the individual one.

Performed on September 19th, 2019, at La Catorce-Quince artists studio, included in the Madrid's Hybrid Art Festival. Costumes by designer Parallel Dimensions.

BIO: Born in 1993, Madrid based. From 2017 I focus my work into choreography, dance and performing arts. The body is my subject, interested in all the things that happen around it: from individuality to collectivity. Also, I'm co-creator of El Tendedero (vimeo.com/eltendedero) and I'm part of La Colé Dance Company (Madrid, Spain).
