A short piece focusing on the Chuncho action happening in San Roque, Tarija a couple weeks ago. Every year there’s about a month of festivities in which the men and boys of Tarija dress as a chuncho, and dance in the streets as a way to honor the Saint the festival is based off of. They also dance in honor of someone in their family who is ill, in hopes that the saint will heal them. This is footage of the last day in which there were over 6,000 chunchos in the streets.
