Nathan: “So what does Live Wide Open mean to me? I guess I think about the wide open spaces we have in Minnesota. I think about all of the outdoor activities. The Twin Cities is great, but sometimes you need to get out to open spaces and not see another soul. There’s many opportunities to do that here in the Detroit Lakes- New York Mills area.

One of the things I enjoy about living up here is, I’ve got 12 acres of land that backs up to 300 acres of DNR land, so if I want to be out by myself I go out to the back yard and within a few paces I don’t see another human and I don’t see another man-made structure. That’s beautiful for me. It’s some serenity and it gives me a place to think.”
