We, who feel a sense of belonging in society, realize that even though we exist as individuals, that individual does not exist solely. Knot (2020) was created by repeatedly braiding hairs to create knots. The movement of the performers connected by braids affects the surroundings and causes restraint and pain. It projects an individual's identity that is formed under external influences. Self is an intriguing concept that is both flexible and fragile and refuses to settle as a single concrete image. In this relationship, the individual draws the dilemma of ambivalent life of desire and redemption of belonging.
