“Dance, when you’re broken open. Dance, if you’ve torn the bandage off. Dance in the middle of the fighting. Dance in your blood. Dance when you’re perfectly free.” ~ Rumi
Two dance artists from big cities, meet and merge in La Union to create a raw, intimate and powerful dance by the sea, as tribute to nature’s generous healing qualities.
Keep La Union's Dance Alive. Say No To Coal.
Ea Torrado, Filipina choreographer and founder of Daloy Dance Movement, is a believer in dance as a path to healing and self-compassion. Beverly Redi, contemporary choreographer of the New York-based REDi Dance Company, is an advocate for interpersonal understanding, using a wide range of performance tactics to inspire healing connections.
The two danced at Clean Beach Coffee, a place that supports environmental causes, green initiatives and sustainability. With Cinematographer Chino Neri, co-founder of Kurrent Multimedia Productions, who creates insightful, meaningful and socially relevant content, this short dance film is formed. Apart from celebrating the beauty of nature, this collaboration serves as a call to action, driven by the need to spread the message of urgency to preserve our waters, our natural resources, our environment.
