[특집 다큐멘터리 '더 게이머'] 레트로의 유행을 타고 옛날 것들이 유행하고 있다. 이 흐름 속에서 여전히 그 인기를 구가하고 있는 ‘옛날 게임’이 있다. 출시 20년이 넘은 스타크래프트이다. 20여년 동안 플레이될 수 있었던 것은 그 게임 자체의 매력도 있지만 이를 둘러싼 당시 한국 사회의 상황 그리고 게임을 플레이하고 즐겼던 사람들의 이야기가 결합되었기 때문이다. 이러한 다층적인 관계를 탐구하는 다큐멘터리를 만나본다.
