Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll Exceeds 1,000

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran announced on Monday, that as of 8:00 pm local time, the death toll nationwide from Coronavirus had exceeded 1000.
Preventive medical resources and equipment are essentially in the possession of the Revolutionary Guards and regime officials. Ordinary patients are deprived of many basic needs, such as masks and disinfectant liquids.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran again expressed alarm over the spread of the Coronavirus in Iranian prisons and called on the United Nations Secretary-General, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Human Rights Council, and other international human rights organizations to take urgent action to save the lives of the prisoners, and prevent a major humanitarian catastrophe.

Jailed Protester Contracts COVID-19, Fellow Inmates Also Suspected

It has been reported that Amir Hossein Moradi, detained in Ward 2 of the Greater Tehran Penitentiary, has contracted the Coronavirus. He has been transferred to an unknown location.
Mr. Moradi, arrested during Iran protests in November 2019, was sentenced to death last week.
He had referred to a hospital over the past week and on Saturday, to receive treatment for his neural illness. On Sunday, after returning to the ward, he was told that he had tested positive for Coronavirus and must leave the ward and go to the prison’s dispensary.

U.N. Nuclear Watchdog Plans Alert on Iranian Regime's Stonewalling

The U.N. atomic watchdog policing Iran’s nuclear deal with major powers plans to issue an imminent rebuke to Tehran for failing to provide access to one or more sites that are of interest to it, several diplomats who follow the agency told Reuters on Monday.
The agency plans to issue a separate report on the same day, calling Iran out for its lack of cooperation in general and its failure to provide access in particular, diplomats said.
