Interjections (Liminal Act) is an adaptation of the composition Interjection into the liminal act, a collaboration between concept writer and musician Akkamiau, visual artists Anastasiia Holumbovska and Jakub Krejci and artist collective of choreographers and dancers collapsetofraction. 50 minutes long audio visual movement performance includes also the audience, interacts with their presence, works with their perception of the space and movement within, evokes emotions and creates connection.
Audience and performers are spread out all around the gallery space, treated with quadraphonic audio set up (4 channels for spatial sound distribution, each speaker positioned in one corner of the room). InTerjeCtions are accompanied by live 3D visuals created by Jakub Krejci, sourcing in the original black and white animation by Anastasiia Holumbovska, projected from two beamers onto the white walls, additional lights are applied, also on the square columns inside of the gallery. Movement performance of three female dancers from collapsetofraction collective, in a choreography by Calvin Bernauer, creates the narrative.
InTerjeCtions are about dealing with internal psychological issues such as traumas or other stress disorders in a beneficial and healing way. By sharing the space while perceiving sound vibrations, by being present and relating to the movement rituals, one can restore a calm and relaxed internal vibe.
