Interference is part of an ongoing exploration of the light behavior. The current project executed in 2021 is a performance in which light, optical instruments and the body movement are fused together to explore their interconnected relationship. Through a personal and experimental approach, the performer precisely controls and manipulates the light with her own body movement to explore visual phenomena. The natural behavior of light involves a very random and unexpected character as every small movement generates an unique visual outcome. Therefore, the light interferences are being generated through flat to vol- umetric surfaces of translucent instruments fused with artificial light and pre-designed body movements. A communication system of graphics is finally involved for the spectator and the performer explore a language of movements together as an interactive el- ement. Consequently, a sense of surprise and “by chance” within the light behavior and it’s experience in space is being ex- plored by both the spectator as well as the performer.
