During the quarantine, I've been facilitating the Improv Theory process for my partner, David, as he builds his own narrative about growing up gay in Colombia during the height of the drug war, making connections to world history, biology, politics, and his work in this country's coca legalisation movement. This recording is an excerpt from a three hour conversation we had after several weeks of abstract sound and body improv sessions used to identify topics of relevance and refine their expression. During this conversation, we explored and laid out some of the themes that David will continue to develop over the course of the year, in his personal creative practice.
