Performance inspired by a reflection on how the trauma is initially experienced at an unconscious level and subsequently investigated, rationalized. Starting from an analysis of personal habits developed during childhood, I found what could be called a "secret space": a restricted material place, in which I used to take refuge in order to enter undisturbed in contact with the most profound and hidden aspects of the emotional and irrational sphere, a place sheltered from the outside world but totally at the mercy of the unconscious. The performance explores in the first place the attitude of the body that is activated when it's placed in relation with this space, thus engaging a correlation between physical position and specific moods; this position is here extrapolated and set as the starting point for action. The successive movements are nothing but a materialization of the progressive awareness that gradually becomes active. Slowly the body becomes itself a "secret place": it leaves the usual defenseless position and goes to explore and occupy the surrounding space of the unconscious, up to emblematically outline its shape.
