This personal project evolved out of experimentation with some footage taken in the Scottish Highlands in 2019. I tried to capture the looseness and flow of conventional editing with longer shots, to see how long I could hold attention with minimal movement. It was a fun challenge to combine rotoscoping and comping techniques just in AE to push the grainy look.
Hopefully this meditation on movement and memory reminds you of better times.
A huge thanks to my sound designer David for creating a moody and atmospheric soundscape.
