To perform the Face Pull…
- Adjust a cable pulley so that it's at head height and attach a Rope.
- Grasp each end of the rope with an overhand grip and step back until you have lifted the weight stack and your arms are extended out in front of your body.
- Pull your elbows back and to the sides of your face - hence the name "Face Pull".
- Keep your elbows high and wide as you do the exercise.
- Keep your torso stationary and focus on using the muscles of your rear delts and upper back to complete the movement.
- Pause for a second at the top of the movement to hold the peak contraction.
- Exhale as you lift the weight up, and inhale as you lower the weight back down.
- Repeat for the recommended amount of repetitions.
