Here is a little 'tutorial' on how to apply Hourglass make-up and create the classic 'Marilyn' look.
For this I started with the traditional animation technic of drawing frame by frame on paper and capture that on the defunct Omega machine (super old school!). This only happened because I 'recycled' some animation exercises I made when I was at college, UAL - Central St Martins in 2005, on the course where at the time we were learning animation starting with the traditional method. A long and laborious procedure which roughs and their vintage look to me are still the most interesting to watch, (you can watch them in my video list - 'Hourglass Cosmetics Rough animation').. For the 'Hourglass Cosmetics' video I drawn and couloured the animation in Procreate and then edited in After Effect with the unmissable help of PSD for prepping the stills assets.
'Hourglass' is a cruelty free cosmetics brand, all vegan because animals are like us and the planet needs to be looked after. :)
