Play, download and edit the free video Houdini Vellum Creature.
Had some fun playing with Houdini Vellum and did this short video. Base animation was done using a bend node for guiding the opening, together with Vellum Hair for the base deformation. Then Vellum Cloth and Struts were used for shaping it. Added some animated tentacles using Vellum Hair and some Grains for adding a bit to the scene.
Lighting and shading was done in Blender, rendered with Cycles. The idea was to keep it monochromatic in gray scale, adding a bit of color with couple lights.
