After Delid of my CPU with liquid metal below the heatspread and exchanging the stock cooling of my Asus 1050ti OC expedition i thought its time to try again of rendering the biggest scene on my computer. Its a 1000 dollar asset from CadBrowser a Photogrammetry Scan of San Francisco. In the past i was only able to render the 500+ textures when they are converted to 256x256, Today i rendered all of those textures in their original size at 4K each. The precalculation phase took about 18 minutes, because redshift has cached it to disk, which brought a data amount of about 11gb of textures. Since the precache the entire scene is rendering on 4K in about 2.5 minutes. Relight of this entire shot in realtime with the IPR in Redshift3d and progressive rendering. I also needed to use 2 for loops to be able to texture all of those 35 thousand buildings. All Buildings are textured with one Redshift shader, and later packed to primitives and also pre translated. At the end i created a proxy out of it to be able to render it in a short period of time. Thanks to Toadstorm from VFX Discord for some tips on material overrides.
