This stop motion animation was created by myself, Lucy Bedford, Emily Carter, Kelly Bryan and Jasmine Smith. When we were planning our animation we wanted to create something sentimental to symbolise our time here in Madrid; an animation to represent our Erasmus experience and our memories. As we are all photography students, we have all taken thousands of photographs throughout the previous six months and therefore wanted to incorporate this into our creation.

We have used ourselves as characters in our own stop motion animation through polaroid prints which we all feature in. Each image was captured throughout our Erasmus experience so far. Using this as a storyline, we revisited all the places which the original polaroid’s were taken. We all had 5 images each and personally decided specifically where we would re-photograph them and how they moved through their locations. Although this was a group project, having 5 individual photographs allowed everyone to have equal influence and decision making for their section.

Within the stop motion animation itself, the images moved through the location which represented our movement through time within the year. They symbolise our experiences progressing and memories being created.
