For over 30 years the artist Bernd Caspar Dietrich has been working with sand. With his light-kinetic works of color pigments, glass powder and sand, he creates vibrating surfaces that transfer the idea of the Düsseldorf ZERO movement into the future in the form of concentric narratives.

To commission a portrait from him means to reveal oneself. This is sometimes not so easy, because the artist likes to be asked and asks questions - but he doesn‘t pack anyone in cotton candy. He has a vision and a clear attitude - in his art as well as in his concept of life.

Together with his wife, the moderator and cultural scientist Hella Sinnhuber, he has been organizing art happenings and exhibitions for 20 years, now in his own aRTPARKK galery. Well-known artists of all genres use the autonomous experimental space to try out new concepts. Following a cerebral hemorrhage in 2016 Bernd Caspar Dietrich is paralyzed on the left side. This has turned his life upside down once again. But together with his wife Hella and friend Norbert Hürland, they live more easily in an old people‘s flat share. True to the motto: art does not only take place in the big cities and metropolises, the latest aRTPARK project 2020 is a sculpture park in their orchard on an area of approx. 7,500 m².
The director Fitore Muzaqi has been accompanying the artist couple with her camera for a year now and will finish shooting at the end of March.
