Storyboard animatic for Grad Show Ident ‘Hatch’
3D animation.
Narrative: Batches of yellow colour eggs on wooden countertop. One slowly starts to hatch. Emerge from the egg is Frank Gaschk. All characters in this animation are in the style of POP Vinyl toys. One egg next to him started to hatch, out comes Jonathan Pillai. Other yellow eggs all started to hatch, and soon all the teaching staffs are assembled in the form of POP Vinyl toys. Frank notice something over yonder, he points and gasps, and drew the attention of Jonathan to look. Cut to a batch of red colour eggs on the same wooden countertop. One starts to hatch, out comes a student in the form of a POP Vinyl toys. More students starting to hatch and emerge from the red eggs. After they all emerge, they each pull out a big red hat and put them on. Over the teaching staff side, every also each pull out a big yellow hat and put them on. The camera pans to top perspective, zoom out. These figures form the title word ‘De Store’. End.
Proposal: All 3D characters share the same rig and 3D model, only the textures applied are changed to make them look like different characters.
