Harry Tyson Moore was an African-American educator, a pioneer leader of the Civil Rights Movement, and founder of the first branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People in Brevard County, Florida. The Groveland Four were four young African-American men: Earnest Thomas, Charles Greenlee, Samuel Shepherd and Walter Irvin, who were falsely accused of raping a 17-year-old white woman in Lake County, Florida in 1948.
