Our goal for major project 2 was to reimagine a whimsical story using different media elements and techniques. Through our brainstorming process, our group landed on the concept of a book of monsters. We chose monsters because they had the greatest potential for visual and aural diversity- we could make them look however we wanted without preexisting expectation on what a monster should look and sound like. Since the project required animation and found sound, we began to focus on the idea of a storybook that appears full of life and movement. Through the influence of these goals, our group used several visual and aural elements to create Mr.Moogleberrys’s Book of Monsters.
