There was a request for this song a short while ago (within the last few months). I have always wanted to do Little Green Bag ... and now I have! When I first heard this song back in 1970 I thought it was Tom Jones, until a closer listen ruled that definitely out. It would be years before I would know the name of the band as DJs didn't often identify George Baker Selection, introducing the song title instead most of the time. Back in those days if you didn't catch song and title from the rapid fire deejay chatter breaking into the song's ending before a commercial or fitting info in before too much of the start of a song got eaten up ... you were lost! Especially if the artist or group SOUNDED like an artist or group you were more familiar with. Released in October 1969, it was well-placed as a late spring 1970 hit in the United States. Little Green Bag peaked at #9 on the Dutch Top 40 singles chart and #3 in Belgium. In the United States, the single reached #21 on the US Billboard Top 100 and peaked even higher at #16 on Cash Box on May 30, 1970 (same date for both charts).

A lot of action and synchronized song and dance here. No 'Reservoir Dogs' to be found on this, although it may feel like it at times. Fellini is here instead and some others, along with some 1970 docufilm along with film footage from The Pick-Up (1968). Seems the green bag was really an off rhyme or mondegreen reference to the greenback (American dollar). Thus my use of the casino dollar counting scene from The Pick-Up and my decision to use a bit more of that film. The girl on horseback on the original George Baker Selection video of the song has been replaced in this video by some new girls on horseback, more in keeping with the pace of the song and the other footage used. Also Sophia Loren from It Started in Naples (1960). It all flashes by in the bat of an eyelash, like the song, so enjoy!
