World plastic production went from 15 million in 1964 to over 310 million today, every year at least 8 million tons of plastic end up in the world’s seas.

5 billion envelopes every year. 25 million tons of waste every month. 1 million bottles every day.

We are in catastrophe.

We have become the metastasis of our own living organism. With each movement we widen the cancer, stifle our breath, destroy, step by step, the epidermis that protesta us, we sink the killer blade in our mother.

We must act, we must insinuate the sensitivity of the necessary change into the human mind. As in any dramatic historical period in the history of humanity art must rediscover the power of its language, the strength of its gesture; primordial force capable of changing consciousness, capable of saving the existence of the mother and her children.

Metastasis is a sound project focused on the female voice with extended techniques and live electronics in dialogue with concrete images.
