This video is a part of the Microhistories series, ‘Dissidents of the Apocalypse', that documents protest and social unrest that occur during the global pandemic and the government-imposed restrictions in the city of The Hague, The Netherlands, dubbed the city of peace & justice.

This is a back story about a book that I had picked up. The protest had taken place in January 2021, in The Hague.

'The Prison Writings: Roots of Civilisation', is written by political prisoner and Kurdish revolutionary leader, Abdullah Ocalan. He is mostly commonly known as the founder of the PKK, the infamous Kurdish liberation movement dubbed by many countries as a terrorist organisation. Could 'Apo' become the Antonio Gramsci of the 21st century?
