This class will give you more freedom in your spine by establishing strength in the back body and core. Begin supine with a series of upside down lunges, curl ups, and bridge work to wake up the muscles in the back of the hips, legs and core. Practice directing the breath to the back of the ribs and side waist. Hug a block to firm the legs and create support and you move your spine in a series of standing forward bends. Advance this action into a side bending stretch with or without the prop. Work in standing poses open the side ribs and expand the breath. Increase your breathing room and begin to down regulate your nervous system in a restorative side lying pose before resting in Savasana.
