I created a soccer match narrative using clips from unrelated soccer videos I found online.The story starts with a goalkeeper making a save and his team gaining the deflected ball. The side with the ball, moves the ball around the pitch by passing it around and at the end they score a goal which is followed by a goal celebration. I want to combine a mixture of videos with different stylistic features, soccer skill moves and different players to create an interesting narrative. I will show each individual clip starting with the players receiving the ball and ending it whenever the ball leaves their feet, transitioning to a clip of another player getting the ball. My biggest challenge in this project was to create a smooth transition between the videos and to build up a harmonious narrative. Although the players will have different colored jerseys, and the lighting of the stadium may vary, I still want to keep the movement of the ball as coherent as possible. I purposefully picked famous soccer clips that circulate in YouTube and Instagram, and mixed them with animations.I choose this topic because I’m a big soccer fan and I watch a lot of soccer games and videos, which enabled me to pick and combine interesting visuals from this beautiful game.With this project I aimed to create a spectacle to show how amazing and entertaining this sport is.
