I had the wonderful opportunity to create an educational music video with Flocabulary, an e-learning platform that teaches subjects in Math, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, Vocabulary, and Current Events. This music video is about Emmett Till, whose death sparked the beginnings of the Civil Rights movement in the United States.
I was responsible for the art direction and animation for all the illustrated parts of the music video. It was an honor to work on this project. Although this music video dives into very heavy issues such as racial violence, it was important to remember Emmett Till's story and the history of the Civil Rights movement. It was also an honor to bring this music video to life, as the lyrics were written in collaboration with a student who won Flocabulary's 2021 Black History Month Rap Contest.
