FIDM International Manufacturing & Product Development (IMPD) students had their final exhibition at Herbalife HQ in downtown LA! They partnered with Herbalife in a journey to make the world healthier and happier through fashion.

Students were challenged to design and create an apparel and accessory collection embodying a healthy, active lifestyle. They gained an understanding of Herbalife’s specific types of customers and sponsored athletes in order to bring the concept, "where passion meets fashion," to life.

In collaboration with companies like Herbalife, Converse, Nike, Pacific Sunwear, JCPenney, Pottery Barn, Sunrise Brands, and Disney, students learn how to manage all facets of the international product development process. Product development courses teach students the skills to manage major brands. Students travel to Europe for inspiration and trend research and to Asia for first-hand experience in sourcing and production.

The Advanced Study Program in International Manufacturing and Product Development educates students to compete in the fast-paced, global community of manufacturing and product development. This comprehensive program involves the student in all phases of the product development cycle from the initial concept and design through technical design, global sourcing, costing, production, and marketing to the consumer. Communication and collaboration skills allow the students to function as effective team members and leaders. Directed study in Europe and Asia exposes students to the latest developments influencing the international marketplace.
