When a North Carolina family's dog went into labor, everything seemed to be going well.
That is until one of her puppies came out looking like this.
No need to adjust the color on your screen.
You are seeing that correctly.
That is a bright green puppy!
Understandably the family was confused.
But a local vet said there is a very simple reason for the puppies color: poop.
Each puppy is located within its own sac in the dog's uterus and the sac is full of fluid from the puppy's first bowel movement and it stains their fur.
The color is temporary and goes away as the dog gets bathed or cleaned by the mother.
The family had a good sense of humor about the whole ordeal.
They named the puppy "Hulk" after the green colored Marvel superhero.
