It has been 50 years since Earth Day became, well, a thing. It began as a single day for everyone to reflect and be mindful of how they, as individuals, impact the environment. In 2020, we can't just reflect and be mindful. We need to take action. In collaboration with local nonprofit organizations, academic institutions, and social activists, this short film highlights a few of the folks on the frontline of Pittsburgh environmentalism. It shares a short glimpse into the world of those with their hands in the trash, in the mud, and in the thick of the debate who want to see change happen.
