If you are familiar with the Bear Crawl, this is a great way to prep for the movement that translates to many other movements: like Squats or Push Ups or even climbing. It can help warm up and move your wrists through their range of motion while activating the core and isolating the quads.
- Start in a tabletop position, with shoulders over wrists and knees under hips. Tuck the toes under and elevate the knees, making sure to keep them just a few inches off the ground throughout the entire sequence.
- Keep a neutral spine and hold tension in the core as you start to slide the hips straight back over the heels, then return to start.
- If this movement is too taxing on the knees, consider leaving the knees on the floor with a mat underneath them or elevating the hands onto a low step.
