EPESonic (Engagement Platform for Embodiment) prototype is the outcome of an iterative design-based research process that studies the relationship between movement-based engagement and changes in design. Designed for and with young children, this playful installation allows for the users to see their actions mirrored as stickmen figures on a screen in front of them, and the movement of their arms allows them to dynamically change pitch and volume depicted as a wriggly red line.
