I designed and directed the End Title Sequence with my very talented VFX bud and long time collaborator Pete Hambling. His patience and hard work has been invaluable over the years and I am very proud of the title sequence we created together.
Basing it on actual news reel footage of the 1956 Hungarian uprising I wanted to show the brutality, reality and chronology of revolution in action.
The initial optimism and hope turning to fear as the tanks roll in . . . brave resistance no match for the destruction to come . . . leaving a people fleeing their homeland and a ruthless regime victorious.
The Iris Echo is a totalitarian thriller set somewhere in time,
it holds up a mirror to divisive politics, populist rule, misinformation and fear.
The film was made as a pilot episode for development into a TV series.
