The work “Elements” is created within the theme “Nature reasserts itself”, specifically for a project curated by Foundation Villa Seurat. The work is based on the rethinking of a process of natural vegetation, reflecting the inner condition and divine beauty of nature itself. We know that vegetation is a process that starts with a small element like a sprout, coming to its state of perfect bloom and then inevitably fading and dying.
Vegetation symbolizes the state of ephemeral life on Earth, when the phase of bloom – the moment of perfection - is the final stage before temporal death, and then a rebirth and repetition of the whole cycle. It is always about dynamism, movement, and change of state and condition. In my work, I am stopping the moment, catching its fragility, capturing the transformation of natural life into lapidified porcelain elements that will remain like a timeless memory of the moment – moment of perfect vegetation.
