Drama at The Hammond offers exciting opportunities for students to develop artistic, technical and communication skills in a motivating and professional environment. Drama students enjoy a full academic curriculum, enhanced by:
· A broad range of drama-based workshops
· Vocal training classes
· Specialised movement/dance sessions
· An annual major production in The Hammond Theatre
· A bi-annual whole-school musical theatre production
· A week-long community outreach tour
· Singing, LAMDA, and Trinity College London classes are available by arrangement
· A place at HYT (Hammond Youth Theatre) Saturday classes
· The opportunity to follow on to The Hammond’s extensive and exciting Post-16 Drama Course
Hammond Drama students have gone on to train at some of the most prestigious drama schools and colleges in the United Kingdom and abroad. Others have used the skills gained at The Hammond to succeed on university courses, apprenticeships, in business and beyond.
