Portée par le LARCA, l’action structurante Paris Diderot Global Matters vise à fédérer les initiatives de recherche qui se déroulent dans les différents laboratoires partenaires (LARCA, ICT, CRCAO, SPHERE, LIED) sur les thématiques de l’histoire globale des techniques et de la culture matérielle aux époques modernes et contemporaines. Doté d'un budget propre en 2018, l'action a pour vocation de mener une politique active d’aide à la publication sur ces thématiques, le lancement d'une série chez un éditeur universitaire et de soutenir la réalisation de vidéos de médiation de la recherche.
Spearheaded by the LARCA, the Global Matters Research Project aims to bring together researchers in different departments and research units (LARCA, ICT, CRCAO, SPHERE, LIED) who work on the global history of techniques and material cutlure from the early modern period onwards. The project which was awarded funding by the University Paris Diderot in 2018 aims to actively support publications, launch a series with an academic publisher and produce short outreach videos on topics related to the global circulation of materials and techniques.
