It denounces forms of nationalist ideology by using the body as a site of neocolonial resistance calling for nonviolent action. This approach to performing media activism engenders an understanding of how performance practice offers a set of artistic and participatory tools to strengthen the relationship between people in virtual spaces and contributes to social change. Through collaborative processes, diasporic identities are invited to demonstrate their selfhood outside of nationality through spoken word and gestures.
