'Dancing Conversations For Anna' is a collaboration with dancer Emma Riches. It channels and embodies Anna Halprin's movement rituals from the 60's alongside using and allowing her dancing methodologies to guide us through the process and choreography. Sitting alongside this is my own personal practice that investigates authentic movement practices and improvisation.

This video showcases two dancers moving through different layers of located choreography; set movement material, conversations, Anna Halprin's movement rituals, improvisation and authentic movement. They have agency to sift through them at their own pacing, paired with moments of specific structuring. The sound score is a recorded regurgitation of previous attempts of the work, layered on top of each other.
